Wait, What, School?

Today was day two of classes. I'm taking Novice Italian, Renaissance Art, The Black Death and its Aftermath, and The Presence of the Past (a history class about Siena). What's weird about our class schedule is that we classes meet twice a week, but usually on two consecutive days. This means that I've had Black Death twice but I haven't had either my Renaissance Art class or the history class. Odd...

Anyway, I was super proud of myself because I had the most successful ordering of pizza yet. I went for a run (for the second time in two days!!!), went back for a shower, and then was completely starving. Figures...it was 3pm and I hadn't really had lunch. I stopped at a really cute place on the way back for my 4pm class and was able to order my two slices entirely in Italian. I had her warm it up, and was able to tell her I wanted it to-go...all in Italian! That was my big moment of the day.

Also, it tasted delicious. Partly because it was just good pizza, and partly because I was super hungry and totally deserved two pieces after my run up on the fortress.

I'm going to need to start taking some more interesting photos to keep this blog interesting while I'm not traveling...but for today I will show you a picture overlooking Siena....AT NIGHT. That's right, folks, we're mixing it up.
